  • Information to process transactions or to conduct online transactions

If required, we may also obtain information from third parties. For example, we may need additional information in order to evaluate your application or verify your identity. This additional information may include:

  • Personal and credit information from consumer reporting agencies
  • Health history from medical providers and the Medical Information Bureau, Inc. (MIB, Inc.)
  • Employment and benefit information from employers, plan sponsors and administrators
  • Information from other companies about contracts or accounts transferred to us

Consumer reporting agencies may keep the information they collect. They may share that information with others to the extent allowed by law. If you contact another insurer to apply for life or health insurance or make a claim, the MIB, Inc. will supply that company with the information it has in its files.

Transaction Information

We keep records of all client transactions. This may include information such as:

  • Benefits, contract values, payments and account activities
  • Beneficiaries and claims
  • Web site visitor information

Medical Information

We collect personal medical information only to underwrite life and disability insurance or process claims. We will first obtain written consent from you before we obtain any medical information from third parties. You can be assured that your personal medical information will only be used to help you obtain the most favorable insurance products that fit your given circumstances.

We do not share medical information for marketing purposes. We only share it within strict limits as allowed or required by law. We will, with your permission, allow several insurance companies to review your file simultaneously on a “trial basis” so that there a several options from which to obtain offers.
